Lovin’ is What I Got…

Here’s something “new” I’ve been learning all semester.

I went out on a limb and took an Intro to Studio Recording class and it seriously made me rethink my major. I loved learning about all of the recording equipment and watching our final project come together piece by piece.

I was pleasantly surprised by our version of Sublime’s “What I Got”. Let me know what you think!

And oh yeah… that’s me on the first verse!

My Brother: The One Man Band

So, I’d be lying if I said this was something new that I learned… But this weekend I came to the realization that:

My brother is really talented.

This past Friday, I headed up to Trinity Pawing to watch him play in a school concert and was blown away by his performance. In a matter of two hours I watched him play:

Bass
The Beatles “Come Together”

Bass
Jimi Hendrix “Wind Cries Mary”

Ukulele/Vocals
Starland Vocal Band “Afternoon Delight"

Trumpet
The Kingsmen “Louie, Louie”

He may have tortured me for the last 16 years of my life, but I mean this from the bottom of my heart: I’m really proud of you Hal. Way to go dude!
